After wiping clean the inside of my visor with a microfiber cloth so many times the anti-fog that came pre-applied to the visor is beginning to wear off, and I'm trying to prep myself for something I can reapply on occasion. Last night I trialed a solution of roughly 9 parts 91% isopropanol and 1 part laundry detergent and tried it on my car's windshield. Do any of you guys have a solution/mix/blend/product/blend-of-products that you find is effective at keeping the inside of your visor from fogging up?

I forgot the name but there is one that isn’t a wet chemical but is a dry cloth impregnated with something. You just rub it on every few days and it maintains a clear view. It is sold for use on many applications so it isn’t motorcycle specific.

If not that then a Pinlock visor works amazingly well if your helmet supports it.

You can make your mix more economically. Try 10% alcohol, 88% distilled water, and 2% dish detergent. Also try a more vented helmet so sweat doesn't build up as much... granted that won't work in winter.

Try the Scott no fog cloth. They sell them in ski and snowboard shops. That or a light mist of distilled water and glass science anti-fog.

My previous helmet (KBC) had some film on the inside of the visor, I didn't like it and ripped it out. I have just got a new LS2, and it came with a Pinlock. I rode one foogy morning and had a bit of fogging, then fitted the Pinlock, and no fogging at all. Still a new thing to me, but I'm giving it a go.

I used to use the wipes years ago but then went to helmets that have the pinlock insert. As mentioned it works for a year or two but the seal between the insert and the face shield eventually gets sloppy and I start getting fog on cool mornings.

I got a bunch of those on sale, and they're the opposite of helpful. The times I tried them it seemed like my faceshield fogged more readily than if I hadn't used them. To be fair, they may have been old items that were sold cheap rather than throwing them away.

Fogtech DX is what I used successfully occasionally last Winter. Lasted as long or longer than anything else I've used. I've tried many things with varying results, and most that worked not lasting long.

The best I've used was a Scorpion faceshield with its anti-fog coating. But that requires a Scorpion helmet (find me a light weight one that fits and maybe I'd be interested). And means I can't use a Transitions faceshield. OK if Scorpion offers a Transitions faceshield with their anti-fog coating I'll be interested.

I've tried all the suggestions over the years: Spit rubbed onto the inside of the faceshiled, toothpaste, various sprays and coatings, now I just use a pinlock faceshield W/anti-fog insert, when I need an anti-fog solution.
