Well, they already had a consumer alert on it 4 years ago, meaning it’s found its consumers without any rebranding. There’s things in this world I’ll never understand

Man that is a good way to confuse people. And rip people off too who thought they were getting 10W-30 motor oil. I wouldn’t even use this as a top off oil anyway.
Must be one of those carburated engines that runs on and on after you shut it off. Like my old Chevette did. And my boat does.

I'd prefer used oil for top offs.

I wouldn't be surprised if they got hold of surplus bulk oils from multiple sources (maybe even some reputable companies) of various viscosities mixed it all together and filled a lot of plastic bottles. That could account for or loosely justify some of their labeling.
Well, at least it's oil. Likely filtered waste PCMO and Hydraulic fluid
