Looks like temps will be dropping across Canada, on both sides of the Rockies this Friday and will be headed south. Apparently not as bad as last December but up here it will be sub zero F. I’ve got the firewood cut and stacked.

Haha, at the low temps coming my heat pump
‘s it’s pants and automatically switches to propane. When I get up I make a fire and keep it going in the airtight wood stove while I’m home as my wood stash is cheaper than the propane. Then again at night, but I let the propane boiler do it’s thing until next morning.
The pinko news up here, aka the CBC had to get their perpetual climate change digs in saying the Prairie's are in for "piercing cold" because somehow at the end of January, a couple nights of -25 to -27 before setting to our normal of -20c is somehow piercing and somehow not normal? The tuning on my sleds is too fat right now at the unseasonably high -6 so they should run great when the temp drops.

It is slowly dropping. Skiied today, -23f at the top (12,456ft), -5 at the parking lot (around 10,000ft).
Can easily stoke a wood fire for an 8 hour burn if burning doug fir or equivalent
Me too. Earth is polar, hotter hots mean colder colds.
I don't remember the temp swings being this bipolar ever before. We used to get a decent amount of snow, now it's just frigid cold.
But you don't understand, it's so cold because of the warming... it's called SCIENCE! It is just spelled B-A-L-O-N-E-Y! (Or bologna for those highly refined and educated individuals).
It used to be a cold front, now it’s polar vortex. 
It's been this way since the flood. I have experienced the variations for 57 years, and it will continue.
The difference that I have noticed is that the Media sensationalizes the weather--just like everything else.
So then whackos like Al and Greta come along and perpetuate this religion of Mother Earth and the MSM gladly jumps on board.
Plus it sells a lot more milk and bread...
