Another PGO C108202 filter cut open

I believe this was the from the Factory Fill on a friends new/used scooter, 2011 Buddy 125 4 stroke scooter, mileage was 660 miles.

Oil used was Motul 10w40 ester smelled like soap
gear oil changed with Valvoline 75w140
 
Nice straight pleats, a crimped metal seam and metal end caps, looks like decent construction. If the quality of the filter media is on par with the build quality it should be a pretty good filter.
 
Chinese? The apparent construction of most of the Chinese made filters has actually been pretty good around here. Efficiency is of course unknown.

Maybe Purolator should setup a factory in China.

Or they could make them on the German assembly lines, which seems to be very cost effective when I look at the cost of my made in Germany Mann filters for the Audi. $5 for an OEM type Mann for the Audi versus $8 for a Purolator type Bosch Premium for the G37 from Walmart when they still had them in stock. Something's amiss.
