Through my searching for new tires for my car as well as my wifes car(8 tires) I have discovered another online tire store that I haven't heard of before, not even here at Bob's. Maybe I missed something through my searching.

Mavis Discount Tire.

I didn't purchace from Mavis this time but will certainly use them for comparison pricing in the future as I do with The Tire Rack, Discount Tire Direct, Treadepot and now Mavis Discount Tire. Mavis does charge shipping though. About the same price to my zip code as TireRack... Discount Tire Direct and Treadepot often have free shipping but, that can change anytime. It's all about the bottom line!

Im sure there are more online tire stores out there but, the only other ones that I have found online only lead me to a tire dealer in my zip code. Im already familier with the tire stores in my zip code. None of them can beat the prices that I've received from buying tires online and paying for my own installation package.

I have a couple of stores near my home. I have bought tires there and found I almost always need additional work whether it's shocks or brakes. Anybody have a similar experience in their stores?

I wouldn't let Mavis near any of my cars anymore. They constantly try selling front end work, and brakes even when not needed. I had issues with them this summer, ruining center caps on my Cyclone Wheels. Then trying selling me balls joints for a van that had King Pins, and rear brakes that had plenty of meat left.

I was going to have Mavis Align the van, but I told them to forget aligning it because "it needed ball joints". Their reply when they knew I wasn't biting was the ball joints could be changed at a later date, I laughed and said then it would have to be aligned again wouldn't it? I took it to another shop the following day for an alignment. They informed my front end was in perfect shape, and my rear brakes were fine, and could easily go another 25,000 miles.

It pays to know how to repair a car, or know when someone is trying to rip you off.
