Another OG XG 10060

I'm confused by suspected sarcasm a bit. Is this a good or bad filter? The endcap did not separate on its own correct?
Correct. It was glued on very well. It was a good filter just had a few oddities to it. Wish I could find some more of them just like this one.
The one I had was absolutely wire metal backed. Black metal screen not like the silver screen in my avatar. That one came out of an XG2 from 2021. All of it not an issue just odd.

Here are a few older threads, 1st one shows the old style filter with the holes in the centre tube:
The holes look different, slightly larger than other XGs. Then it went from holes to louvers on the newer version. This specific filter model must be made for Fram by some other manufacturer.

Dunno, the media stack looks the same, as does the combo leaf spring/bypass valve, it's identical to what I took out of an XG2. This is a smaller filter, so the holes thing might just be perception.

I'm wondering if FRAM is experimenting with different centre tube designs?

The holes in the base plate are oval shaped and not round like the newer ones. Much bigger than those in the XG2.

The backing on the media is awful thin. The media its self isn't great looking and the center tube seems to be a mystery. Not the best looking fram, we have seen much better examples.
No evidence that it did it's job any worse than other Ultras.
