Another fun car to work on.

Your correct. Originally it would have had a v- twin Chrysler compressor. It has a sanden on it now. I made the AC lines.

Someone asked and it's a customer's.

The factory race cars could get the 426 hemi. Your friend was sitting on a gold mine

Regular order, no.

You could get a Slant 6, 2 barrel 318, 4 barrel 340, or 4 barrel 383.

Nice... Put some caps on those shrader valves for the A/C

Funny you asked. I was hoping for a 340. Got out my mirror and its a 318...does have a rumpy cam ,hedders and a 4 bbl. Customer has had in since new.

I've had/driven many 318 cid Mopar's and I like'em very much. Nice drivability!

This 100%.
An original owner, un-modified car like this is almost unheard of. Very neat to see!

Good eye. Its not charged yet. I'm waiting for the weather to warm up later this afternoon to vacuum it and charge it. Then it will get brand new caps.

I just would hate to see gunk in there is all.

Brings back some memories.
I started working at Chrysler Canada in 1964 and worked on the "Gate Line" (welding, body-in-white) for the '65 model year before going into the skilled trades apprenticeship in '66.
In 1965 we built every model in Windsor from the Valiant 2 dr sedan to the Chrysler Windsor convertible (and everything in between - Chrysler-Dodge-Plymouth 2drs, 4 drs, station wagons, convertibles, right hand drive etc)
I welded lots of '65 Barracudas, my best friend had a '65 Barracuda 273 that "we" built ..... another of my buddies went to Auburn Hills, MI in engineering and worked on development of the 340.
It was quite a time ..

Hmmmm, NOT older than me. I wish I had such a "desirably classic" look about me. For humans, we just call it getting old. EDIT: my belt isn't serpentine -- just longer than it once was. . .

Seriously though, very nice car. Way more impressive though, that it's original owner, and still looking like this (vs a restoration of a deteriorated car). THAT'S dedication, though with a car like this, I can easily understand the dedication. As for the engine discussion I remember well when my parents were trading in the '68 Dart for a new '73 (I was 12). I so earnestly tried to convince Dad to go for at least the 318 (maybe even a 340!). Nope, no way, 225 Slant-6 all the way. . . Hard to fathom that the Slant-6, good engine that it was, was an option on THIS car.

Thanks for posting Chris, prompted some pleasant old memories!
