I do the same for both of my japanese cars. I use the long life version that's 50/50 premixed and it works well and is green. I add water wetter to it instead of the subaru additive.

My domestic firebird gets Prestone Dexcool 50/50.

Since coolant manufacturers do not release full "ingredients lists", it is impossible to say. But the Zerex is not a concentrate, and is alleged to be identical to Hyundai OE coolant.

Okay, that settles it. I'm getting the Green Concentrate by B/A. I'll run it up to 5 years or 100,000; maybe shorter depending. That way I can do a brief rinse with the new and have enough(4.8 quart coolant capacity), for the reservoir as well.

I don't care how badly I wish I could've used demineralized water in the Zerex Asian Vehicle 50/50 mix.

Is 5yr/100000mi what Honda specified in 1992? Seems like a very long interval.

Subaru requires a 30 month/30,000 mile change interval with their "long life" green benzoate/phosphate coolant. But the newer blue coolant can go 11 years/137,500 miles on the factory fill.

Well, then, that's what makes me wonder if I could use the blue Extended Life Honda Genuine Type-II and be capable of leaving it in longer than using the BA offering?

What about using Final Charge? I've been thinking about using this for everything including wifes Mazda3i which is due for a flush and is readily available and reasonable down here.
