That's what I'd do to cover my a$$ and make sure that I didn't go too far in my interogations. Sounds like a sensible way to get intel. You have a physician to ssure that you don't maim or kill the guy.

Look at it as a house of horrors ..that they were (almost) assured of coming out of in one piece.

I don't want make waves but as an American living in the late 60's in the Middle East who gave a cheese what the Americans had to live in the Middle East. Publicity was on the Vietnam war and college compus riot...(Media wise)...we never made a wimp of a noise but lived what we came back to..the USA...Heck **** well know what it is to be innocent..is what we all were...not an ideal situation but we all knew the danger what was ...but we lived as a tight community as being American and the Europeans and Japanese, Chinese and foriegnors were **** welcome because of the situation. I wish many had that experience as it was no laughing matter...you just didn't know what it was to be an American because what you stand for. Whatever the situation...I won't bend what I hear...but I do know the what the Middle East is and has been for centuries...

I have a bad tendency to shorten passages a bit. I meant to say many murders under investigation at Ghraib, some other prison whose name escapes me (came out a week or two back) and other areas in Iraq. One Britisgh soldier already charged and more to come. Anyway enough of this. Today is one of the best days of the year for me. Most of you are worried about a few people who had their country invaded and have retaliated. What would you do if the shoe was on the other foot?

The part that concerns me is that you must have forgotten about 9/11/01. Osama killed over 3000 Americans in cold blood. Where is he? Why are you worried about a few proud people standing up for what they feel is justice when Osama is still running around?

I think the CIA should put these people to the side and concentrate on Osama's location.

We destroyed the Taliban and al Qeada's base. We had Afghanistan on its way to a possible democratic society. Rather than continue to hunt a man that we may never find, it was time to drain the next swamp. We did not have just one enemy. Finding bin Laden will not stop other terrorists.

Proud people? More like crack brained wasp nest inhabitants finally getting free to inflict their misery upon others ...and these are just the insurgents. They are like many elements found in similar stiuations ..frustrated, hobbled, and lash out ...they don't care against who.

The people who are doing the beheading stuff are ganster/thug types. They want the power and corruption in their hands. They're less socialized versions of Al Capone or "The God Father". They extort money. They are the dark side of the free enterprise system that is often employed in third world environments. This is just their version of "Welcome to the negihborhood!". I would imagine that they've even formed an "abduction network" ..where enterprising Iraqis ..seeking a quick and easy buck, can abduct a civilian and "put them on the grid" so to speak to the highest bidder. The final "end user" then employs the video/sound studio to submit his "ebay" like offering for ransom. If the back door negotiations are favorable ..the hostage is released ...if not ...it's "Mr. Ginsu" time. I think it's just that simple.

..and on to real terrorists...

I believe that Osama should be found, dead hopefully. I think that he should die a very boring death and escape any "martyrdom" that a valliant fire fight or desparate battle may endow upon him. Even capuring him and imprisoning him would create a new rally point for terrorists. He should step on a rusty nail or something ..hopefully a slow and painful death ..but without any 'glory'.

Be warned that this is not for children or others of a sensitive nature. The site appears to be an Islamic/Anti-war propoganda information front. Some of the descriptions of the photos/video isn't accurate. The site has made me feel even more resolved that we must win in Iraq and the war on terror.

we are certainly getting results in Iraq, an estimated 100,000 civilian deaths, 50 trainees are executed, possibly by the Iraqi police.

No need to get nasty. Being a Democrat or Republican has nothing to do with wanting to win the war, does it? I believe Bush's statement, about what he said on the carrier, was that the major military objective of occupying Iraq and defeating the Iraqi army had been accomplished.

For the record, I support our troops 100%. I would have one of those magnets on my vehicle, but I can't find one that isn't made in china and I refuse to own anything that shows patriotism and is made somewhere other than the US.

Our troops are doing a great job and my hat goes off to them. I can't imagine what many of them are going through. I know how mentally taxing their job can be and I admit that I probably wouldn't be able to handle it as long as some of them have. I feel very bad that they are there and that our troops and civilians are being injured & killed every day. They are only doing there job and following orders from our leader.

I also feel there is alot wrong in Iraq. When a Haliburton (government contract) employee operating in a safe zone makes three times the amount of money as combat soldier - something is wrong. When Bush attempted to cut combat soldiers pay by 33%, something is wrong. Our soldiers and veterans deserve better from a country that they have and are putting their lives on the line for.

I am sure everyone can agree with this.

Because of your biased rhetoric, this thread will probably be locked. Maybe it would be best to keep your political opinions out of discussions concerning our proud military. They don't need you or anybody else to feel sorry for them. On the contrary, most of them fully support the opposing viewpoint that you constantly try to slam.

I know the videos are there for the viewing but refuse to watch them. The information arm of Al Qaeda, Al Jazeera, likes to broadcast them and that's just what the terrorists crave - attention.

If someone could come up with a video showing a mushroom cloud over Fallujah, I'll certainly watch that. I don't go for the "more sensitive war" bullcr*p. When you fight barbarians, you must do what it takes to ensure victory.

I wouldn't bother Andrews. There are some thet don't remember that there are no sidelines in a war against terror. That Saddam's paying 25 grand to suicide bombers' families in Israel would easily be coming to the shores of the free world.

It couldn't happen could it? Nah, Neville Chamberlain said the same thing.

As far as the beheadings go, we have the possibility that the new president will have a trial for horrendous war crimes. Of course,it will be our military he will put on trial as he has done in the past.

I don't understand what I wrote to make anyone think that I'm naive about war. I'm actually very black and white about it. In my opinion the majority of Islamic nations are a hideous bunch and given an excuse, I would not feel ashamed to say that we should destroy (nuke) them. I've just tried to keep a civil tone, so as not to have this stimulating topic locked.
