Ever since I replaced my engine mount the top one I've felt this vibration at idle. It vibrates in the seat a little. Every mount is new. Right off idle its fine its only at idle. Any ideas. . Thanks guys. BTW its the 98 Saturn .

Was it the "Frowny" mount or original type?

After you jacked the engine back down, did you loosen the 2 bolts at the bottom & tighten them again, like suppose to be done?

The new ones are stiffer than the old worn out ones.Vibration is being transferred to the body.A new engine will vibrate less than an old one with issues (valves,timing,injection....),so new mounts on an old engine will be rough.Try Poly mounts....talk about vibration....every nut and bolt will shake.

A new firmer mount will transmit more vibration to the cabin, some aftermarket replacement mounts are stiffer than oem, which will result in what you notice....

Well at least everything doesn't rattle in your car at idle and when you shift you hear a loud bang and the dash moves like me...

Do you mean the bottom 2 bolts bolting engine mount to the car chassis itself? And its the frowny

Did you release the pre-tension after installing top mount? I never did until recently replacing torque struts and transmission mount. It may help. I replaced top mount with Autozone DEA one, other mounts are Anchor. I am noticing some buzzing at times in passenger door, but my Saturn is about your age and mileage. I felt more buzzing on drivers side when transmission mount failed. When you say every mount is new, do you mean 2 torque struts, transmission mount, besides top engine mount?

I loosened the lower engine mount once I installed top mount. Every mount is new both dog bone transmission mount and top motor mount. I get some buzzing in my passenger door and driver rear door as well.

Frowny may be your problem. OEM is best, but my Autozone mount looks like the solid OEM one it replaced. Here is proper procedure after mount is replaced:

Relieving Pretension

Look at 6th post for pictures. You may want to return the frowny mount. It has been done by others
due to bad performance.

Nuts are under car. You access through holes in sub frame. The dog bone will appear loose at bottom when you loosen them.
