The window balancer died in our Emco/Andersen storm door.

I spent hours yesterday trying to get the part. It shows on their site but online chat insisted it didn't. The chat rep eventually just "hung up" on me. He also said if I emailed a screen shot of the part it would go to a different division.

The more I dealt with them the more I got the distinct sense the company is heavily segmented and not cohesive.

If you expect support after the sale, maybe look elsewhere. I know I'll be leary of future Andersen purchases

We got Andersen storm doors. Our biggest custom one sagged, and despite some repair, still sags.

We did get some repair parts under their lifetime warranty…

You might try windowparts.com.
Thanks. I wound up ordering from allaboutdoors.com, but as I kinda figured I think they're just getting it from Andersen. After ordering they said it's on backorder but more are coming. For the time being I can wait.

It's balancer part # 35276 which the Andersen chat rep insisted doesn't exist (but it does)

I can find it on Andersen's site but there's no button to ADD TO CART, which was why I started a chat in the first place.

I kinda suspected the lack of an ADD TO CART button might suggest backorder, but nothing said it was on backorder.
