Ancient redline 15w-40

Recently picked up 3 gallons of redline 15w40 API SG/CE. Must be 1990-93 based on those specifications and since its pre benicia redline it is pre 96 as well. Figure some folks would find this cool!

That is cool to see. Thank you! 14 TBN, 50% lower Noack than Petroleum. Reduces wear, etc. Great marketing but RL seems to back it up with their products. Seems they've stayed pretty close to their roots.
Yes! I found a VOA from 2002 and it showed 3700 ppm calcium, 1600 ppm zinc, 1450 ppm phosphorus and 740 ppm moly and a 12 tbn. I bet this stuff had even more zddp and calcium considering its 10 years older and advertises 14 TBN. Awesome stuff. I got just enough for 1 OCI in my 12 valve lol. Come to think of it its older than my 12 valve

I thought the 12 valve goes back to the late 80's? Do you plan to do a used oil analysis after use for fun?
