Hello yall. Here is something that needs to be brought back here and will help with the enviroment. Its a 1977 R&M hunter original ceiling fan. It is the cast Iron version with the 2.5 amp motor.

The newer originals are made overseas in China is still oil lubed but the motor design is differant. It is regulr fan motor modified to be oil lubed. They aint made like the old ones of yesteryear.

My Dad, who is now a retired electrician, has a 1978 Hunter model.

They've had it in three different houses already. Dad keeps taking it down, and putting it back up, every time that they move.
 
Yeah, that's a nice fan. I installed one (probably the same model, I see the oil fill hole) in the bedroom of our last house. If I remember correctly, they had a cut-away on display at the store, lots of iron and lots of poles in the motor, built like a tank. Dang, why didn't I think of taking it with us when we moved...
