My Father in Law just gave me an 84 Chevy S-10 with the V/6 and 5 speed. I have been researching the fluids needed to change out the drivetrain oils.
Interesting note: The 5 speed manual transmission is filled with ATF. I was looking for synthetic ATF's and discovered that Amsoils Torque-Drive ATF meets Dexron III specs. I understand it to be more robust than standard synthetics ATF's.
Anyone use this fluid in manual transmissions and have comments?
