Is the Amsoil Zero Turn Hydrostatic Transmission Fluid actually better than the manufacturer recommended 20W-50 motor oil or is it just re-labeled Amsoil synthetic 20W-50 motor oil?

I think about 25 years ago they recommended Mobil 1 15w50 but then changed that recommendation to their own labeled hydro fluid. If I remember correctly the formulation changed with the Mobil 1 and Exmark wasn't comfortable with the new stuff. I've used the Amsoil fluid before and couldn't tell you the difference or notice the difference between any of the hydro fluids.

I am using the Amsoil tractor Hydraulic fluid in my Tuff Tork K66. It is not motor oil. It works good in my Husqavarna. I'm sure it is not motor oil.
