His 3.6L is the NON DI engine.
2009 and up have the DI

check this area. make sure the hose isnt pinched... which could possibly allow air in.

On 2007-2011 Acadia, 2007-2010 OUTLOOK, 2008-2011 Enclave, and 2009-2011 Traverse models, it is possible for the washer hose assembly to become misrouted or trapped between the air cleaner cover and lower housing after air cleaner inspection or air cleaner element replacement. This may cause the washer hose to be pinched by the housing and damaged. (Fig. 7, A)

When reassembling the air cleaner cover to the lower housing, ensure the windshield washer hose clip is secured to the cover and the hoses are routed properly before tightening the air cleaner cover screws.

Note the air filter- and the hose..
This pinched hose--- sure looks like it would allow unfiltered air straight into the throttle body..

It's a balance between taking good care of the vehicle and not wasting resources.

GM says the coolant(Dexcool) is good for five yrs. This car was built in mid 07, then it has been almost 5 yrs. Plus, I'm not a fan of Dexcool.

GM says the atf(Dex VI)is good for 100k. I'm not taking their word on it. This trans has a higher than normal failure rate(Wave plate failures) so I'm not just gonna lay there and take it, I'm trying to be proactive.

Let's see how AZO does, if the OP continues with the setup for now.

Where did this come from??? I'm not going to use AZO??? As I stated in a previous post, I put 2 qts of SSO and 4 qts of AMO back in.

I buy AMO in 30 gal drums because I work on diesel pusher motorhomes too(10gal sumps). Until UOA proves otherwise, I'm gonna use AMO for my daily drivers too.

I to think the Acadia engine(3.6L VVT)is tough on oil in 2007-2011 Acadia, 2007-2010 OUTLOOK, 2008-2011 Enclave, and 2009-2011 Traverse models. These are heavy vehicles, 5000+ Lbs, and the 3.6L is a small engine if you ask me. It's workin it's ask off in these vehicles. My 4600 Lb Toyota has a 4.0L non-VVT engine and isn't nearly as hard on the oil. The wife avgs about 18mpg in our 3.6L Acadia, while I avg 21mpg in my 4.0L Toyota. I realize some of this is due to our avg trip lengths.

Gotcha, I missed your follow up reply regarding what was put back in. I only read the OP that said you put Amsoil back in(in general). Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'd still be interested to see what AZO would do.

...but before going to 10w-40 AMO in all of your vehicles. Would you try the Amsoil Euro 5w-30???

I have already installed the AMO.

A yr ago I did my research on which Amsoil oil would serve both my gasoline and diesel vehicle needs, and AMO was the winner, but I had a little SSO left over from last yr, so I blended them.

I think these results are extremely good. I don't think you HAVE to use Amsoil to get these results though.

It looks like you're treating your vehicle fine.

Sometimes reading stories like these, I get bummed out that I only put 3-5k on my main two cars each year (the old one lying around I only about 2k on), so I never get to see a 10k+ result. ha.

So drive more. Take a road trip or two.

I never did UOA or xOCI until I switched to Amsoil. I was a every 3k miles kind of guy.

Sometime in the future(maybe next yr) I will probably switch to Rotella T3 dino oil to see how long it holds up vs Amsoil. The results will be interesting for sure.

Thanks Everyone
