I have an extra quart of Amsoil SSO 5-30 and I was thinking about putting it in my snow blower it is a two year old Simplicaty with a Briggs on board. Is this stuff ok to run in a blower?

just put Amsoil 0W30 in my B&S 6.75. Primed the engine by pulling the cord slowly a few times and it fired up on the first pull out of the box. It was cool this morning too. I hope this stuff works well.

It should work just fine. I run Mobile 1 5W30 synthetic in my 3 year old Briggs powered Simplicity. I don't know if it's the synthetic oil or the Kool Bore engine but it does use some oil. I suggest you check it every time before use.

I used Mobil 1 0w30 in my 10HP Tecumseh this year. No oil problems, but this winter was an oddball winter without much snow this far north (12 hours, tops).

IMO, the SSO would be as good or better.

Solid advice, as usual, boraticus.
