This was mostly highway miles so I did expect the numbers to improve over the previous runs. I'm still surprised that I'm not getting more miles out of the oil though. I can't tell if the limitation is the oil, the GM 5.3, or my specific engine...

Oil and filter were not changed, will continue to extend this one out.

Blackstone Inc Comments:
You have gone just about 8,000 miles on this latest oil so far, and bearing wear is looking much, much better. The other wear metals look good too, and silicon is at its lowest level on the page. These are some excellent improvements -- maybe all those highway miles helped keep metals down. Highway miles are pretty easy miles for engines. The viscosity was in the correct range for a 5W/30 oil, and no fuel, moisture, or coolant was found. Insolubles are good at 0.3%, and the TBN shows lots of active additive left. Put another 1,500 miles on this oil and resample.

The silicon level is high, unless you have used some gasket sealer or new seals somewhere. I'd check for an intake air leak or faulty fitting air filter. You are not running a K+N air filter are you? What oil filter are you running?

if you've got the trailer towing package like on our 04, there's a big old oil cooler up fron contributing somewhat to the copper level
Based on the examination of magnetic oil plug debris from my OCIs, our best run was on PYB 5-30 (we have the same vehicle)
