Amsoil Signature Series & GF-7

Signature Series product listing is updated, and the new datasheet is out.

Some nice looking numbers, although the TBN has dropped from 12.5 to 10.4 for some reason, but it still claims 25k intervals.

Really helpful. Thanks!

Very impressive oils.

Looking forward to seeing results from people running it and some UOAs.

The 25k mile test with a turbo GDI Ecoboost monster is most impressive to me.

The important notables to me (starting TBN isn't a concern in use, but it is notable to be fair)

Better Noack in the 0w-20 and 5w-30 grades.

The entire lineup appears to have better CCS scores and Flash/Fire points.

Of course, this doesn't tell us that much, but some improvements are nice there and is in line with their claims to have much better results in testing; which is the most important thing,

It was a really good oil before. Nothing to indicate it won't be as good and seems to be better.

Anyone racing to see the SDS yet?

Yes I’m looking forward to someone decoding the tea leaves. What are the base oils? 🧐😂

Well, the 0W-40 is an ILSAC oil (or has been historically), so a very narrow range of applicability.
I suppose if Amsoil were a company that was based in Europe, maybe they'd actually have the 5w-40.

Also, I've got no experience using anything above 5w-30 in my personal vehicles.

Good find.

So no PAO in 5W-30!? Wild. Wonder what they’re using…
At least, not per the SDS. But, again it's likely the old one and regardless it's not exactly a recipe books anyway.

No clue whether it's concrete based on an assumption if it would be "required to be" listed; if it's past a certain amount or the laws around disclosure.

But, then again it doesn't show much of anything in the 5w-30 SDS; which is kinda the point.

The SDS sheet is for what it is for hazardous materials involved!!!!, not a recipe for other than that. If a certain base oil formulation is not deemed dangerous then it is NOT on the sds list., the actual formulation is generally proprietary information. to the manufacture of the product. so only you are assuming what happens here.
