Although there are several VOAs for this oil on BITOG, I sent a virgin sample to Speediagnostix for VOA. Good to know it matches very closely to the latest VOA posted here from BS. Having seen wild swings between labs, and not seeing any from SD and planning on using them, I wanted my baseline to be from them.

Lake updated the report last night to include oxidation. Drum roll please... 48.3! My understanding is this is a high PAO/Ester blend.

Maybe even some GTL or mPAO. Hard to say. There were some MSDS a while back in Europe that showed some GTL. Noack is so low across the entire SS line so prob mostly PAO. The high oxidation value is definitely a group V POE of some sort. Sometimes they state using proprietary esters, being there are so many.

Should be interesting to see what the new revolutionary formula will be?

A 30k oci while cleaning pistons!! Although if running SS from day one I suspect you’d never have dirty pistons.

30k OCI, seriosly?
Here’s the post about the formula change.

Thanks, I added the Amsoil to the VOA Database. I wonder if SPEEDiagnostix has never included Titanium on their reports? I'm just noticing it's not on there. I know they don't include Silver, Barium or TBN.

Replying to myself. I just found one of their reports where Titanium was between Manganese and Nickel:

Did they decide to stop testing for Titanium, or is this a mistake on this report?

In my latest communication with Lake, I asked why his molybdenum levels typically report significantly higher than Blackstone and Oil Analyzers. He said their lab uses RDE vs ICP.

I am asking a different question than that. Your report does not show Titanium (near the bottom, right above Nickel in the linked reports). Did they decide to stop testing for Ti, or is this an accidental omission on your report?
