The data is from my '99 Ford Explorer 4.0 SOHC using Amsoil Bypass filtration and Amsoil Series 2000 0W30 oil. The mileage on this oil sample is 24,682 miles.Total miles on truck 118k.

No oil filters were changed and no make up oil added at this sampling.

The used oil analysis on all the samples was performed by Blackstone Labs.

Excellent report. I wonder what bypass filtration does for wear numbers though?

Wow!!! The wear figures on this oil look more like a 5,000 mile sample than a 25,000 mile same. Was this with the new or the old Amsoil formulation? Excellent!!

Hmmmmmmmm -- the silence from the short OCI guys is deafening. . .

Seriously, what else can I add, except for asking for more details concerning your usage pattern. I put the same miles on my G35 in roughly eight months, so as you can imagine, I've been thinking about similar strategies (although for wty, I'm staying at max spec OCI, 7.5K). The only problem with bypass for me is space restrictions for the BP filter. Where's yours and how did you get it there?

Amazing. The bypass filter worked. Low insoluables for that many miles. I would have loved to have a particle count on that oil.

I can't believe the TBN stayed up with no makeup oil. WOW.

Mine is mounted on the frame rail on the passenger's side.

aldive...you stayed with the TSO for these years and it has payed off. I've got the new TSO which arrived here in March and after 1K+...it is more shear stable and feel this oil can go for the long haul with no problem. The oil just feels great.

The UOA speaks for itself! Very excellent report!
