+1.

I think this is the oil. I've got to get with one of our Site Sponsors and try some of this just to see.

I've always been impressed with the XL oil. Never a bad word or UOA on it.

Bill

Bill,

Any interest in trying the even newer 'OE' oil from Amsoil?

Slightly cheaper, and will most like do 95% of what even the new XL will......

Don't know anything about it and if it will even be available to "normal" end users?

Take care, Bill

No need to get this thread LOCKED, but if you want the truth about Amsoil Motor Oil, send me a PM.

No one really wants the exact formulation (At least I don't)

But some basic info would be nice.

Like this oil is a PAO based oil with some Ester and Group III oil added

or this Oil is a Ester based oil with some PAO added.

By based I would mean more than 50% of the base is that Group.

**And wouldn't it have been easy to say that SSO has the most PAO and OE the least or whatever?

Well, we've seen pics of it in quarts, so I'd imagine they're seeling it like their other oils. If it was only available in totes or bulk, the yeah, it's not for the regular public....

Hey, Pal, when Amsoil OFFERS to do a Q&A ..and gives that shoddy filtered consumer grade garbage ..I'll be on the horn to Wisconsin asking to meet the bozo who suggested it so I can grab him by the tie and cause him to hit a solid object repeatedly ..asking him to be more sensitive ..and to give him his idiot award.

Now the M1 fans will have to do that to the XOM idiot. They're the ones insulted by what XOM thought they were worth ...boring standard consumer grade garbage. It's not my job to fix their idiot.

So, Amsoil is as clean as the pure driven snow in this standard response to inquiry? As noble and forthright as the esteemed XOM? Gosh..

Why, Tig, that's shillingly kind of you!

Buy an over the counter painkiller, and it will tell you what's the "active ingredient"

Deodorant will tell you whether it's got chlorine etc. and quite a few aromatic "oates"...even my tasty tom yum goon soup in a packet tells me how many types of glutemates I'm about to consume.

Mobil held the industry up to the spotlight ages ago...then dropped into the gutter with those that they were accusing, while still maintaining the high moral ground that they had.

Telling us whether their high moral stance of primarily GrIV is being maintained tells us next to nothing about their oil, nor its formulation..but would tell us (whether it means anything or nought) on their basic stance on synthetics.

At least Amsoil in the day told us that they were introducing an equally (?) performing lower base stock item.

Now I walk through the store, and EVERYTHING is either synthetic, or synthetic technology...

At least AMSOIL is coming at the issue from the quality end FWIW
