Hi, I'm planning to switch my 2014 Ram 1500 over to synthetic oil. It had the factory fill drained at 2500km at dealership (probably filled up with Formula Shell 5w20), then switched over to Vavoline white bottle at 6,000km, and now i'm approacing 13,000km and want to switch over to synethetic. OLM is still above 50%.

According to owners manual, it says follow the OLM and do not exceed 10,000 miles (16,000 km) for warranty purposes.

Can I safely run Amsoil OE 5w20 if I reach that interval or should I step up to Amsoil XL 5w20? It seems with my driving style the OLM might reach 13,000 km to 14,000km unless I do a lot of highway driving.

Thanks

Any of the Amsoil 0w20's should have no problem with a 10k km interval. I wouldn't even bother with a UOA.
