Amsoil Manual tranny oil

What do ya'll think of the Amsoil Manual Transaxle and Transmission oil (75W-90)? I am getting ready here in the next week or so to fill my NV4500 5-spd with it, along with installing Fast Coolers, so it'll take about 6-6.5 quarts to fill. If it works as well as all the other Amsoil poducts I've run, I'm assuming this will work well too. I just can't see spending $150 bucks at the dealership for 7 quarts of Castrol Syntorq!

I've use Amsoil in general for almost a decade and put the 75W-90 MT in my new Xterra as it is prone to notchy shifting. Didn't really smooth it out anything noticable but I figured it would at least offer better wear protection. Then on a whim I changed it out for some Redline MT-90 which is the same spec as the Amsoil. On this I definately notice smoother shifting! The wear protection should be as good or better than the Amsoil too. My observations...

MTG is excellent in the NV4500. Customers have used it with success. You'll save about $100.

I'm not familiar with "Fast Coolers".

Im running it in my 04 Frontier and it seems to be about the same shift quality as oem 75w85.

For some reason mt90 was extremly poor shifting in this truck but works excellent in my 93 hardbody with the same trans.

It has worked well for me in my Suzuki. It should get a real good test in Alaskan weather.

Fast Coolers are finned hollow aluminum blocks that bolt on in place of the 2 PTO covers. They add 2 quarts of capacity and obviosly, aid in cooling as well. I will let you all know how the MTG performs this winter. Thanks for the replies.

Nissan Maxima guys like Redline MT-90 a lot, but Amsoil MTG more. The biggest differences seem to be in cold shifting in winter and performance over relatively long service intervals.
