I cant remember where I read about it but does Amsoil have a product with this name (foam) used to clean the upper and lower intakes on cars and trucks? If so,how is it used?Does it actually foam?

The product is called Power Foam and when you spray it on it does foam. The best cleaner I have found. Have been using it since it came on the market from Amsoil. I buy it by the case and lasts forever. I use it to clean the outside of the engine if I have any oil/grease buildup. I love it for the old TBI and pcv valves also. Just follow the directions on the can. And if you do a depth clean, try to change oil within the next 200-500 miles.

I have a 97 F150,4.2V6 and use CRC TB cleaner to clean the TB.Is this foam safe for the coating on the inside of the TB? Can you actually spray it into the TB and it will foam up and cling to the walls of the intake? How long will it take the foam to break up to a liquid form? And,yes,I do change my oil after I use SeaFoam ingested into the intake thru a vacuum line.

Yes, you can spray the Amsoil "Power Foam" to clean the intake and throttle body. It will foam up for about five minutes on hot metal and will clean varnish and carbonacous deposits very well.

Back when cars still had carbs I'd run a can through each of my engines once a year, with the engine running at a fast idle. When I got to the last 1/4 of a can, I'd spray the stuff fast enough to stall the engine, then fill the entire carb throat with the stuff. Let the engine soak for 15 minutes and then replace the air cleaner and take the car out on the road. Keep accelerating hard up and down until the blue smoke went away and you could see out the rear window once again.

As 59 Vetteman mentioned, it's also excellent as an engine degreaser and washes clean with water ...One of the active ingredients is "Butylcellusolve", which is a very effective solvent.

Can you use Amsoil Power Foam for piston soaking like Mopar CCC? Ie spray into each cylinder and leave overnight...

Yes you can, however, you would have to spray a large amount to do what you are intending.

LC would work better by pouring 3 oz. into each cylinder.

Let sit for one hour, then rotate one revolution by hand using 1/2" ratchet wrench. Let sit overnight, then replace plugs and fire up engine outdoors. Make sure all LC has leaked past rings before firing engine to avoid hydrolock.
