'20 Jeep Grand Cherokee 36K miles on vehicle. 8K miles on oil and filter. Oil was AMSOIL Signature Series 5w30. Previous Oil was Amsoil 0w20 since 3K miles.

Seems to me to be a lot of fine metal particles. Paranoid I'm getting the dreaded camshaft failure.

Unfortunately I did not do a used oil analysis on this change. Previous change was analyzed and showed nothing abnormal.

Unfortunately I did not do a used oil analysis on this change.
A used oil analysis probably won't have much of an up-tick. It can only measure particles that are 5-7 microns or less. The particles in the filter media would never be seen by a used oil analysis.

That is some chunky flecks! Darn it! Maybe another UOA in the future could shed some light on what the situation is.

3.6L Pentastar PUG.

The flecks were shining in the sun, I believe the camera exaggerated them a bit as hot spots against the dark background. They are there though.

I would expect to see metal like this in a new engine, but not one with 36k on it.
