Anyone using the Amsoil EaO filter?

What part # are you using?
What vehicle are you using it in?
What oil are you using?
How long do you plan to run the filter?

EAO-34
Audi TT turbo(1.8L)
Amsoil 0w-30
10,000 miles/1 yr

EAO-20 (oversized substitution for EAO-12)
Subaru
Amsoil 10w-30, Four Stroke Marine
15,000 miles/1 year

Note:
If used with petroleum lubes that generate a higher solids level from high temp oxidation/nitration, I'd suggest a max life of 12k-15k/1 year on this oil filter to avoid clogging....

EaO13-just installed
Honda Odyssey 3.5L iVTEC V6(4305mi)
Honda Genuine 5W-20
10-12,000 miles

Happy New Year

Just started using the EaO-20 filters.

Used in both my Honda CRX and my wife's Honda Civic. Since both of those cars had a bypass system installed before the EaO filters came on the market, the EaO filters are just one more thing to keep the oil extra clean (vs doing all the work by themselves).

Currently using M1. However, I'm thinking of switching over to Amsoil due to M1 forumla changes (once I use up my current stash of M1).

I'll probably change the EaO filter when I change the oil. However, between the bypass, the EaO full flow, and good synthetic oil, this will probably be at least a 10K OCI, and possibly noticably longer (especially after switching away from M1, to the Amsoil noted for long OCIs)...

Has anyone ever, without running a cleaning agent like RX in the oil, had a filter actually go into bypass because it was so full of dirt/contaminants? I doubt it will ever happen in a well maintained vehicle. You are buying into the marketing of the filter companies! I gave up on Amsoil filters when they went to Donaldson, too expensive and K&N, napa all go the one year 10-15000 miles for me without any issues. You know my opinion, oil filters are way overated in doing the work of extended OCIs. Its the oils and the engines today. Do you own testing. remembers Bob's test when he ran the engine with no filter at all!
