Does anyone use Amsoil Dominator in their small 2 cycle OPE?
What ratio used
Does it perform well like little/no smoke and carbon build-up, engine response?
What about rust protection for storage, does it provide good rust protection during winter storage?
I want the questions above answered not anything else thanks.
I was considering this over the Amsoil Saber Professional 2 stroke oil.
Just want everyone else's opinion.

As a alternative to Saber,
Amsoil Interceptor is most likely what you need.

Dominator isn't the best choice for OPE,
or even the best choice for many trail/off-road dirtbikes
as it has a high flash point that requires
high engine temps to burn off or else it will carbon up/drip from the exhaust.

Even in my 11k rpm YZ125 'always jetted to perfection' dirtbike which I ride at a decent pace around a motocross track
Interceptor is a much better choice for a cleaner burning engine. (also for storage issues as mentionned above by simple gifts)

Dominator is best used for all-out extreme temperature racing use,
also in race engines that are torn down on a regular basis so long term storage protection isn't an issue.

Awesome thanks for the replies
Interceptor it is then?
Does Interceptor have good rust preventative?
Not that this links with this thread but i found Mobil 1 2T on amazon Uk if you wanted some.
I actually was considering Mobil over Amsoil but shipping was kinda expensive as i can get Amsoil locally.

Not sure about it's qualities but at least it has some versus none in the Dominator.
I always fog my dirtbike engine with storage spray over winter just to be safe.

I've used a few quarts of Dominator (Redline when Dominator was unavailable) in my air cooled scooter. I would use Saber in the scooter, but the Saber I believe may be too viscous for the oil injection setup. Both products are Good Stuff.
For OPE, I would, and do, use Saber professional.

No smoke with either oil.

I did top end rebuild after 3k miles, carbon did not seem excessive
*but* I did run some cleaner through the gas before the tear down (I had hoped that the poor running was a gummed up carb) so that may have blasted some carbon out

Ratio is variable with auto inject setup

Corrosion protection: Loaned scooter to buddy who lovingly parked it next to his shed for 6 months, I think that I got a bit of rust in the cyclinder that led to the broken ring that led to the top end rebuild at 3k miles. I don't know if the oil was a contributing factor or not, or if that's what really broke the ring. I wouldn't loan any gear of this nature to this particular buddy again.
