I have a couple of gallon jugs of Amsoil 5w30 ASL but I can't find any distinguishable date codes on them, because i'm curious how old they are. I prefer to use the oldest first in my stash. Does anyone know if there's any codes on them that i'm not seeing? I purchased them back in February of '07.

Generally, if you order direct from Amsoil, they sell it as fast as they make it. If you buy from a store or a dealer, it might be a little older. If it says API SM or has the new current label on it, I wouldn't worry about it.

I purchased it from Amsoil.com through Pablo so i'm assuming it's fairly new. I think it has the current label, it's the same one that's in the most recent product brochure. It's not really a big deal, just a quirk of mine to use up the oldest first
It was likely made no earlier than Jan. 07.
