Does anyone know if there has been comparison testing with these two products. I have the oil guard system on my 6.0 powerstroke deisel and run Amsoil 15W40 full synthetic. The owner of oil guard installed it for me at the Oceanside office. He installed the filter pretty far from the engine under the bed on the frame rail and ran at least 10 to 15 feet of lines. I saw another photo of the Amsoil spin on type bypass in the engine area with just a little length of plumbing. It looked alot cleaner, but which filter is actually better. The oil guard looks like a ball of yarn that is inserted into the canister while the Amsoil is just a spin on. They both claim to be the best and filter down to one micron. Can anyone advise which one is better? Thank you...
