Good posting there, Al. One point I caught in your post is the addition of cool collars. I'm unsure if these are the same item, but a really thorough fellow, Daless2, on jeepsunlimited ran a series of tests on various types of coolers, including a finned collar type. His results were at first poor until he employed grease to the filters ..sorta like you do on CPU's to allow contact with the heat sink ..actually exactly like that. Here's the post.

btw-If you want to get even more whacko about cooling ...and warming ...see if you can figure a way to route your heater hoses back to your dual filter mount and put on one of these

There available in several fitting configurations and available from any DC or Ford dealer.

I guess Amsoil does oil analysis also. I have had outstanding results with Blackstone.

Nice setup, though I have no idea where this is mounted in realtion to the rest of the car. It looks like part of the frame but don't know where.

Can you give details. thanks

The details of the mounting are provided in the link ( above ).

>>The easier said than done part of the installation was determining where to mount the remote filters. I sought a location with ample ground clearance and that afforded trouble-free filter changes. I decided on a frame mount just aft of the passenger side torsion bar.<<

Upon inspection after driving with the system installed, a "potential" oil hose rub area was discovered.

A larger diameter hose was put over the oil hose and attached with tie wraps, then the two hoses were attached to the truck with a stainless steel hose clamp.

I would suggest you consider installing some kind of guard in front of the filters, a stone coming from the tires could easily puncture the filter. Thats something that would concern me.
