Amsoil/ ATF+4

My 2006 Jeep 545RFE transmission requires ATF+4.Is Amsoil universal ATF safe to use in the 545RFE?I thought you had to use a ATF+4 specific fluid.Thanks Joe

yes the universal ATF will work in your transmission.

I run it in our 2002 Dodge Grandcaravan that also calls for ATF+4 and it works wonderfully, better than the Mobil 1 ATF that I had in before.

Its supposed to be a terrific fluid.

If youre concerned run a bottle of the appropriate Lubegard along with it. That would be a wicked combination.

I beleive ATF+4 is the Lubegard red bottle.

Amsoil knows what's in lubegard. If they wanted it in there, they would put it in.

When in doubt check the Amsoil website for you specific vehicle and fluids. They are all listed there. Forget the Lubegard, all Amsoil ATFs are superior ATFs and need no additive and any additive would screw up a used oil analysis and the Amsoil warranty.

I've been running it in my 2007 Ram for 3 years. Shifts well while towing or normal driving.

Have used it in my 02 WJ with the 545RFE for 7 years, no issues.
