545RFE Tranny and Redline ATF?

Would it be wise to use Redline C+ transmission fluid for the 545RFE transmission in my Ram 1500. DC recommends that you only use Mopar ATF+4.

The redline C+ is the redline recommend fluid for this application. I am looking for responses of people that have used this is in the past. Also what do you think if I had an warrenty dispute if I used it.

The manufacturer would have to prove the Redline fluid caused a transmission failure inorder to void a warranty. Similar to Chrysler, Ford recommends only Motorcraft ATF. Just because they recommend it, doesn't mean it's best, it just means that it works.

I am sure the redline fluid exceeds their fluid. The only fluid that I know redline doesn't exceed is Dexron VI. Plus the dealer would never know what fluid you have in there anyway......they won't test a transmission failure unless you tell them and if the oil is changed it won't matter because any failure won't be oil related. But if you want to prove your service record you might want to use their fluid until warranty is up.

Yes it works great. ATF+4 has the friction cofiecnt as the old ATF+3 all DC did was change the base stock from dino to GIII. C+ATF will work on any transmission that speced ATF+-ATF+4. I have used in in my 4.7V8 Dodge Quad Cab Dakota. I have a used oil analysis of it on this site and it is one of the best used oil analysis from an Automatic on this site! It also works great in the powersteering and the transfer case! On that same note if youwant Mopar ATF+4 wich is not as good as Redlines product you can by it at Walmart now as well. If you want non Mopar brand ATF+4 youc an buy it at AutoZones from Valvoline.
