Amsoil at 7-11

I was at 7-11 about an hour ago and decided to glance at the oil they had on the shelf. There were a few rows of the usually name brand oil on the shelf and the whole bottom shelf was lined with Amsoil OE,XL, and signature as well as some ATF fluid and other products. The price on the bottles ran a $1 more than the Amsoil website.

This is the first time I have seen Amsoil in a gas station like that.

Probably a decision from the local owner.

knowing the typical mark-up 7-11, combined with the "you wouldn't be buying here if you didn't need it *now*" factor, only $1 more than list price seems like a good deal.

I'm thinking the owner or manager is a "preferred customer" and is passing on the excess of a quantity discount.

I agree that $1 extra doesn't seem too bad given how easy you can get it...literally 24/7.

That is pretty amazing. At odd hours, you're often stuck with what's available. That would be impressive. Check the shelf tags, though. Maybe it's replacing displaced Bullseye.
