Here is my latest UOA from Blackstone Labs. The engine is the 2RZ-FE engine. This run had 75% city miles on the oil, and the filter was changed from a Mann to a Purolator classic after 5,000 miles. This is the old formula prior to the signature series label of 5W30. Oil was changed to Blain's Farm & Fleet 5W30. Please feel free to post comments or questions. Thanks!

"Ron:Thanks for the kind note. Your engine is looking really good. We're used to seeing low wear from Toyotas but wear this low after 11,156 miles on the oil is pretty impressive. Universal averages show typical wear after about 4500 miles on the oil. The internal parts are obviously getting along quite well. Sodium still showed up at 20ppm, but that's not enough to suspect coolant. The TBN was 2.1 showing some active additive remaining. Anything less than 1.0 is too low for extended use. Try 13,000 miles on the next oil. Nice engine."

Holy mother of....

your wear metals are about on par with averages... at more than double the miles! and 75% city...

Simply amazing!

Your engine is in great shape! It should last a few thousand more miles.

I've never heard of Blain's Farm and Fleet engine oil. Is that a boutique oil company?

Excellent showing for Amsoil.

Your wear is very low, especially given that you're at nearly 2.5x the universal averages in mileage. The TBN had some life left, and I've noted that the TBN depletion tends to slow a bit when it gets down lower. I would think that 15k miles was easily attainable.

Like many engines, it really does not care what you put in the crankcase. Therefore, you should be shooting for the best ROI. More expensive oils need to be run for longer OCIs to make them pay for themselves.

I think OP changed the oil and take a sample for UOA. The UOA should be done before oil change so that if the result is this good then stay with Amsoil, if the result is not so spectacular then change to another brand.

^I would stick with what was working, as well. Good last 3 posts.

However, considering insols have tracked up run this current fill 5,000 MAX and change it.

Use a good FSC with PEA before the next oil change; like the last tank or 2 prior to the oil change.

Also, on longer runs like this(10,000+ miles) consider going AWAY from standard filters like the Mann/Purolator Classic(same filter on same apps anyway?) and get a synthetic filter for the entire OCI.

Also, if you changed your filter you 'may' have been able to add oil. Something else to consider...

ADDED: Great air filtration, don't change your routine there...and very impressive OCI vs UA...wow numbers.

Thanks for the comments and insight. I do appreciate it. The Farm & Fleet oil was a grand opening sale for around $10 a case. It has been sitting around a while since this is my only 5W30 vehicle. So I decided to use it up. If I am still driving this old truck after this case is used up, I will go back to Amsoil. Again, thanks to everyone for the comments!
