I have the 10.5 limited slip rear end on my F250, 3.73 gears. It calls for 75W140 and limited slip additive, I picked up 4 oz. of Ford XL-3 today. I have some 8-9 year old quarts of amsoil 75W140 that have been sitting in the shed for the past 4 years, non climate controlled so they constantly get exposed to heat and cold. Should it still be ok to use? Also is 4 oz of the friction modifier enough, and is the XL-3 the right one?

I would use it. It will be in better shape in the containers than sitting several years in a diff.
Ya most trucks never get new oil in the axle.
