I am a fan of 0w40 oils. I am currently running it in all 3 of my vehicles. I am currently running the Amsoil European formula but I got wondering if the Signature series would be better.
A have hunted around for VOA's and came up empty handed.
Just wondering if anyone knows the difference between the 2 and which would be preferable.
Vehicles are:
2011 Nissan Quest VQ 3.5
2003 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 Ecotec
1998 GMC 1500 with 4.3 V6

It would only be better over extended intervals. Otherwise its only benefit is wallet-emptying. How often do you change the oil?

Simply looking at the difference between these 2 oils.

Fair enough.

Over normal intervals and in your vehicles, the only difference is in your wallet and between your ears.

As you note (and ask) they are similar in some ways. First of all, by cost and some properties I suspect AZF has some/more esters than EFO, but they are formulated to have similar flow characteristics. It's interesting that AZF has as a slightly lower flash point, but decently lower NOACK. I think that tells us, AZF is using a different VII. And lastly the AZF additive package is more stout. Depending on your interval, sticking with EFO will be fine. Hopefully Amsoil will come out with gallons of both soon.

Are you a PC with me?
