Depth of snow, the consistency of the snow, and speed of the engine determine how long the machine will run, not the oil, sorry. I've also used the above oils including M1 10W30 in my 11 hp Honda pressure washer, engine run time is determined by engine speed and how long the gun is triggered, not the oil in the machine. If there is any gain it would be so slight you'd never be able to tell.
Sorry it did not improve your run time, however it did mine, snow blower was in a heavy wet snow and pressure washer was used while washing down my home, and a wide open nozzle the complete time. I am posting my experiences, just as you are. If you do not like it that my use of gasoline is less, I am sorry about that.
I read the posts here to learn about other people's experiences, and I would expect them to be honest, as I am. Why be dishonest and then have no credibility in any posts I have in the future?
I shared my experiences as you did, which is what the board is all about. People's experiences can differ. A 1 cyl 4 cycle engine is very inefficient, and a big polluter too. You added the same exact amount of gas with each fill, knew the exact amount of fuel in the tank to the 1/4 ounce? [1/4 ounce because an ounce can increase run time] You had identical conditions [temperature, snow depth, snow consistency, engine rpms, run time, etc, etc.] each time with the different oils you tried?
I use a power washer for my business, some years day in and day out. Sorry the oil isn't going to change run time by 15-30 minutes, what will change it is a few extra ounces of gas on a fill up, or not working the engine as hard. BTW I'm not calling you a liar 20+ years, maybe more of using my power washer in my business tells me otherwise. I also think others agree.
It is hard to measure mpg in a car, even a slight head or tail wind can throw it off. Calculating fuel economy in a small 1 cylinder engine is even harder. Sorry I respectfully disagree.
Ah wait, maybe a minute or so.
Even that would be very hard to prove, without some high tech testing equipment, and a controlled environment.
