Hello!
First of all I must say what a great forum you have got here!!

Please be gentle with me, have you guys ever used the 'Ametech Engine Restore Oil' and did it works ?
I'm not too sure if I'd post the link on here -
http://www.restoreusa.com/
Any feedback would be handy!
Thanks!
Cheers!

People have used it (I used to) but I believe there are some issues. If you search here under "Restore" you should get some hits.

Thanks for your reply & welcome.

However I have done the search on Restore and I'm not too sure if that one is about the Ametech or another maker's name, anyway what were the issues please and what did you think of it though, if it's Ametech ?
Cheers!

Yes, this is the same Restore you will find searching the BITOG forums. I'm a former user as well. If you want to add something to your oil add AutoRx instead.

Thanks for your reply, so the Ametech Engine Restore Oil is a bad thing then.

Anyway I don't think I can use the AutoRx as both of our Ford cars are running on Fully Synthetic in Engine and Automatic Transmission.
I change the engine oil every 4,000 to 6,000 miles in every 6 months, beforehand when we brought our cars I used the High Quality Flushing Oil, Low Viscosity Monograde Oil, SAE 20, 4.55L to flush & clean out, and use the same 5W/40 Fully Synthetic thoughout.
The old Mineral Auto Trans Fluid were flushed & sucked out before new Fully Synthetic Dexron III Fluid were poured in.

I have no problem with either of our cars, but you know when the mileage creeps up as general wear & tear, we just want to look after our engine and that is why I asked about Ametech.

Maybe I should look at ZX1 Micro Oil Friction Eliminator or am I wasting my time & money ?

Most here would not use Restore because we know better now.

AutoRx will "do it's thing" in synthetic oil - it just takes longer.

There is a very short list of accepted products that BITOG regulars would use themselves. ZX1 Micro Oil Friction Eliminator isn't one of them.

What are trying to accomplish? Someone here may be willing to recommend an additive if we knew what you are trying to do. Do you have a reason to think that your current oil is inadequate? Or, are you just wanting to "tinker"?
