Are there any wheel bearings made in the USA today? I've been only been able to find
that [censored] made in China.

How about SKF and possibly Detroit Axle. Some Timken bearings are as well esp if you buy them local instead of online.

Working in the aviation industry, I can assure you that "Made in the USA" bearings are not hard to find… However they are expensive. Be prepared to spend $40 for a bearing you could buy at AutoZone for $5.49

Agreed Autozone bearings are priced right but they don't last long at all in my
Sport Trac.

You might check an industrial maintenance supply place nearby. Be sure and have the dimensions of the original. I found some bearings for a mower spindle at one kinda near me. But that was a few years ago so... good luck!

I bought SKF wheel bearings for my XJ

Front were the studs are, made in Slovakia
Bearing Housing stamped F.A.G
and the Tail end Bearing is Made in China

Made in USA? Nope still a decent wheel bearing though.

I don't think Timken has gone to China, but they do make a lot of things in Mexico. Its a mixed bag, depends on the particular bearing as to where its made. Same probably goes for SKF.

SKF is Swedish. They have factories all over the world, including the USA and probably Germany as well. The bearing itself will be marked with an indication of where that specific unit was made.

They have a while ago. Most I have seen are Asian now. And complaints about failure have also gone up a little.

Still better than white box but disappointing.

Last SKF I bought was made in Korea. However, contrary to popular belief there are still a great deal of automotive parts that are high quality and made in USA. Among many other products.
