American made oil filters?

....And mahn hummel bought napa gold and outsourced it for cheap labor.
????? M&H did no such thing with Napa Gold, and never owned by "mahn hummel", Accurately, until relatively recently and for a long time, Napa Gold spin oil filters were made by Wix. Actually, they were the same filters as Wix labeled, and made in Gastonia NC. Now Napa has made a decision to go with a different "Gold" oil filter supplier, Premium Guard which are offshored. A Napa decision, not M&H.

As for topic, @bullwinkle list looks pretty comprehensive.

If I recall, the Fleetguard LF16035 for the Cummins ISB is made in Mexico.
Our two major plants for North America are in Tennessee and Mexico, one smaller plant in Wisconsin but it's mostly air filters and crankcase ventilation units.

In medium duty versions the LF3970 is made in India. Bought them at a truck dealer so being counterfeit was out of the question.
We have some joint ventures in Asia, one being in India. Not sure about LF3970 at the moment, but with the supply chain disruptions, sometimes we have the JVs take on some capacity to help alleviate local demand.

Your right about napa, but also M&H did off - shore a lot of wix filters. I was 100% Wix user for decades, but the last air filter I got was made in Spain and inferior quality (at increased price), and the last batch of Wix oil filters I got - 2021 build, where still USA made but the louvers were not open anywhere near as far as the old ones - there using the die's too long. Was my last WIX purchase, likely ever. I have seen others now showing WIX made in China filters as well.

Just correcting the record, not as many made in NC anymore - which was the primary reason I used them, Made in USA number one, made in the South even better.

Same. Got a WIX air filter and it is the made in China Protec that they sell for far less.

Product description said the WIX has more media with higher efficiency and lasts longer.

My second time receiving something made by Wix claiming to be something that it isn't. I am no longer buying any M&H products.

Your right about napa......
Yes, that was the specific point accurately addressed in my reply. And more specifically "Napa Gold" spin on oil filters now and previously. So rather than 'correcting' anything in my reply, I would call the rest an addendum of general information regarding M&H and Wix labeled filters now. None of which was disputed in my very specific Napa Gold spin on oil filers reply. Having used many Wix made Napa Gold spin on oil filters both before and several after the M&H acquisition, very familiar with their construction and coo history. A search of the 7356 (Wix57356) application will reveal multiple c&p to confirm that. Worth noting I think is that the linked thread refers to air filters (not oil) and sourced to same OP as inaccurate Napa Gold oil filter information. Just clarifying the purpose of the original reply here, correcting inaccurate information.

I literally started with that, and did not "correct" anything in your comment, but the tone of your note was to defend M&H. You saying M&H "did no such thing" twice seems to infer M&H did not off-shore which seems to be purposeful omission to facts which would have been on topic. 🤷‍♂️

M&H did no such thing ... A Napa decision, not M&H.

Since you specifically quoted my entire post adding "correcting the record" logical I think that one could/would infer it applied to what was quoted. As for the tone, if correcting inaccurate information is inferred by you as defending M&H, that's your interpretation, though incorrect. Re-reading I don't see where said the same thing twice. The latter accurately clarifies specifically what happened to current Napa Gold oil filters. As for on topic, seeing as it was a reply to direct comment regarding coo, seems on topic to me. Further, at the end I specifically address the topic question. If tone is the criteria here, one could infer that you have and issue with M&H. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. As an aside, I haven't used Napa Gold oil filters for quite a while now.

Thanks for the replies, I picked some oil filters up to see where they were made. GM 4.3L V6... The current AC/Delco packaging has what looks like Chinese characters on the box, but filter marked made in usa.
