Just have to assemble the rest of the parts I took off to paint it, align the front end and change all the fluids. Will redo the stereo too as someone cobbled up the install.

Those are a blast to drive but it does't take too many WOT runs to see the gas tank level visibly drop in a short amount of time. LOL

I was going to paint it the color of our company trucks (a shade lighter blue, similar to B5 Chrysler blue), but decided to paint it the original color. They sure don't get the mileage of my Cruze, but should be a lot of fun. My last project was a 1998 GT that I gave to my sister. I did a shakedown of that car for a couple weeks and was reminded of why I bought my Cruze lol.

I know. My buddy is a GM guy who is doing an S-10 with a twin turbo project. The motor is in the truck; just have to find the time to help him install the plumbing and the intercooler. I will say I'm very impressed with the LS engine. A junkyard LS is definitely the cheapest and best swap for lots of power.

What's he doing for a rear diff? A good friend of mine and his dad did an SBC S-10 with nitrous and found that the rear axle is definitely a weak spot. We ended up swapping an Explorer 8.8" into it, which came with 3.73's, disc brakes and 31-spline axles.

It's been done with some kind of locker but I don't know exactly what. It fits in the Chevy housing, though. Not a Ford 8.8.

Yeah, we had a locker in the Chevy housing. We broke the Chevy rear end, hence the Ford swap, LOL

Yeah, my understanding is that the 8.8 is about the equivalent of the Chevy 12 bolt for strength. I'm not into racing (love watching, though); I just do my cars stock. I appreciate all the shared knowledge here.
