I have no problem with that but also could care less who has the highest score. I do think having the "like" feature serves a very useful purpose in allowing people to agree to the extent that it doesn't look like just one person shares the same thought, without having too many posts that just state the equivalent of "me too", though sometimes that too, can be helpful when there are alternative ways of doing things.

On a serious note, I do tend to like reputation-like systems on technical forums when it's programmed in a proper way such as only counting for "like" reacts and only in technical subforums. The intention of it is to be a reflection of those who consistently post useful/helpful information, but it's easily abused.

Fair comment … I had a decent score but much of it was reaction to pictures I have taken in various places around the world

I wasn’t competing at least not in my eyes, I just think it was unfair to have my score gone when nobody else did just because of how long I have been here. Yes most of them were given by a now banned member. It made me feel I was important here which some members here definitely don’t. I don’t disagree with what was done either it’s probably for the better anyway. I don’t mean anything bad by it. 🙂.

I don't know how it can be made practical. It would be nice to know who really knows what they're talking about and how is just regurgitating someone else's expertise. All are not huntsmen who blow the huntsman's horn. *

Funny to me that something I never knew existed or cared about was causing drama. Don't turn this into Reddit.

Now you have been made whole... No more complaining right? Move forward.

I agree though plagiarized useful information is still useful information nonetheless. Regardless of who blow's the horn, it sounds the same and serves the same purpose.

Also, whenever I read huntsman's horn, I think of those weird looking yellow lilies that grow down here in the South.

Good decision. 👍 I still would like to see it gone for good. The best reaction to a post, good or bad, is a good post.

I tend to agree with that. Posts like Clinebarger's trans rebuild threads add significant value, so I think it's perfectly fair for him to get "credit" for those with a reputation score of some sort.
