I have read many threads and articles out there and have narrowed the results down to a few contestants. I am trying to find the best all in one cleaner to throw in the gas every 10k miles or so. I have used BG44k in the past and was very happy with the results, but reading some recent articles people are saying they changed the formula and its nothing more than mineral spirits and kerosene. Is this true? I have heard good results about redline, but most people will say that amsoil PI is better, although it does cost more. For something you can pick up anywhere most people would agree that Techron is good. Anyways I would like to get your opinions on this subject. Like I said I like BG44k and I have had good results in the past, but do these people just not know what they are talking about?

I have used BG44K in the past and was very impressed with how well it cleaned everything up. This was probably about a good 6 or 7 years ago so not sure if they have changed their formula like you mentioned. All I know is the car was in very poor shape, if you look through the throttle body it looked like a filthy BBQ grill in there. After the BG44K treatment I needed to do intake gaskets and had most of the top end of that motor off and the areas where fuel has been flowing were spotless so it seems that it was some really mean stuff. Car ran like new after the cleaning. But like I said it has been many years since I have used it so not sure if the newer stuff is as mean. I recently used Techron in a Firebird I just bought that I thought had dirty fuel injectors and it seems to be doing a pretty good job cleaning things up because it is running much better and I have not gone through the whole tank yet. I am pretty sure one of the injectors was at least partially clogged and it seems to have cleared that up in my car at this point. I have used the redline cleaner in the past with good results as well but really cannot judge if it did any better than others or not since it did it's job either way. I think the most important thing is do just do it once in a while if you are going to use a full bottle for cleaning. It is not good to dump a ton of that stuff in there all the time.

BG44K is still the best cleaner out of all the ones you mentioned. It is very potent, so using it every 5K-10K miles or OCI is enough. Check the other threads online or call the company... It still works as well or better then it ever has.

Redline is the other one that has worked very well for myself and others on this forum...
