BG 245 - Premium Diesel Fuel System Cleaner

I am thinking of using some BG 245 cleaner in my 1.6 diesel vehicle. I have had a read about it and it seems as though it has some good cleaning chemicals in it that seem to do a good job (lots of good reviews on forums out there).

I am interested in whether anyone on here has used it and noticed any difference? More interestingly it would be good to know if anyone has any knowledge of the chemicals in it and whether they do actually do what is claimed?

Nothing really special chemically. The trimethylbenzene is probably the best solvent in there for dissolving diesel residue.

Thanks. Do you have any suggestions at all for what to look out for in an MSDS that will be good? Don't worry if not. I'm just trying to find the best that I can so I don't waste my money.

I cannot say your choice is bad. The trimethylbenzenes are often used in diesel adds, Look at the MSDS for other products like Power Service and compare and then make your choice.
