Alignment - How often?

I agree with most in this thread. If your tires are wearing even, you have no pull, and your steering wheel is straight then you should be ok. If you touch the suspension or notice any of the above then get it aligned. I usually tweak each of my vehicles. For instance I hate the factor alignment for my BMW. I take it to the shop and tell them how I want it aligned.

Do they know how to do an alignment on a BMW? The price seems tempting. $170 is what the BMW charges, without lifetime.

What makes a BMW so different than any other vehicle?

Well, I guess a modern Hunter alignment machine is needed. Does Firestone use those?

In addition, you need to load up the car with weight to simulate the actual driving load.

I am about to get some new tires, it would be required at that point would it?

Thanks for all the info.

Are your old (current) tires unevenly worn out? If so, yes, get an alignment when you put on the new tires.

Is this limited to that one particular firestone location, or can it be done at any location? I drive a lot quite a bit, any complications or restrictions?

Any Firestone location. I'm unsure of the details.

My formula for alignment is:

number of miles driven by wife or daughter >10,000=alignment

number of miles driven by me >25,000= alignment.
