I've not long purchased a 2018 Volvo V40 D3 Geatronic with an Aisin Warner TF-71SC automatic gearbox.
In the UK automatics probably make up less than 5% of all our cars so information is very thin on the ground.
I've googled for hours about the Aisin Warner TF-71SC and I can't come up with any official documentation or information on this gearbox, just a few Volvo documents saying they are fitted to the D2. D3. T2, T3 and T4 engines. Not even the Aisin Warner website seems to even entertain the idea that they actually exist?
The Aisin Warner website mentions a AWF6F45 gearbox in their lineup which is a 6 speed conventional auto with a torque capacity of 450nm. This is also known as the Aisin Warner TF-80SC. The older D3 and D4 with the 5 cylinder diesel engines used to have a TF-80SC which looks very similar to the unit fitted to my car but the plate on the gearbox and the manual definitely says Aisin Warner TF-71SC.
Does anyone have any information on this gearbox? I'm looking for oil capacities, oil change procedures and any part number for drain plugs, gaskets, filters etc.
