Airbag Light Corolla 2007

Hi, I have an 07 Corolla, got hit from behind while at stoplight, no damage but after getting back in car airbag light was on. It appears as if the passenger seat does not recognize when someone is seated there. Usually it beeps if the passenger is in the seat without a seatbelt on, and it no longer does that. Any ideas? I am going to get it scanned at the dealer in a couple weeks, I have heard it might just need a scan and to be recalibrated...

The damage may not be visible, but you have damage. I'd take it to the dealer for a full check.

I'd make sure to make a claim against the other person's insurance. They should pay for the damage done, and there may be some that isn't easily visible. (I used to do auto damage liability)

Absolutely. Be careful, because if you signed settlement with the guilty party's insurance, this could be on your dime.

+1, though they use don't make you sign a waiver unless there was a limits issue.

most shops can look at air bags, why go to a toyota dealer?
