I have a question about aftermarket window tinting.

What has been your experience related to after market window tinting, and is it worth the expense and trouble of maintaining the tinting?

Are the Lifetime warranties against bubbling, scratching, and peeling worth anything?

In Miami its worth every single penny..There is no expense to maintain it.

As far as warrenty goes most places give you a warrenty for the life of you owning the car but the catch is the tint is free but not the labor..It does start to get a lttle blurry after about 5 years so it will eventually have to get re-done. But if you live in the deep south its worth it.

We have 15% all around on our cars and a strip on top of the windsheild..Its keeps the car alot cooler..We just keep the a/c on low all the time..If you don't have tint you will have to keep the a/c on high all the time and you will still be burning up inside.

In South Florida it costs around 150-175 for good job..Thats for a car like a Crown Vic..The cops even put it on their take home cars at their own expense down here.

It's all about the quality of the film. Get a place that uses LLumar or something else good and it will likely last as long as you own a car. If they use cheap stuff or don't take their time applying it, it'll bubble, turn purple, or crack within just a few years.
