Advice on diffusers fins and bumper lip

Ive decided to invest in the aerodynamic forces around my mustang with some body extensions. I'm thinking i will attach them with "speed clips" to supplement the included screws and a secondary adhesive over the 3m tape. Calling for any suggestions for a better bond to the car body.

Are there any tests i can do with home equipment or theory that can be applied for optimal placement? You think some roofing tar or should i try to heat weld them to the abs bumper?

They do make support rods, but they do not look structurally sound on their own and i could get another set of fins for the price.

More like 5000lbs with 22" rims, 15" subs and groceries.
 
none of the "autozone specials" will help in any practical way to generate downforce. if you want to see measurable results, you would need a full ground effects kit with a fiberglass front end with dive planes, canards, and a spoiler with adjustable angle of attack

you would get far more benefit from suspension tuning

Edit: this would be a reference for getting practical benefit out of an aero package. You can tack on some downforce with a good trunk spoiler and adjustable splitter, but you're not going to start seeing a benefit until 65mph+.

Honestly you're wasting your money. You do realize some of the aero add-ons used in racing add enough downforce to create over a thousand pounds of downforce, some even more in drag racing top fuel cars rear wings.
If only for looks, clips will work. If for real you need to get serious and a wind tunnel.

pitot tube, magnehelix gauge, pieces of string for wool tuft testing. a hundred dollars woth of equipment and time for testing is all you need.

You're spot on with your roofing tar suggestion. That stuff sticks like all get out.

Can you post before/after 0-60 times so we can see how much better it gets?
I'm guessing 1.5 seconds faster but that's just a guess.

I think this is some kind of parody account just messing around with BITOG guys. Sad if it's true though, thinking adding some fins to your stang will help in any noticeable way.

Maybe I should start marketing aerodynamic wind tunnel tested engine flush or something?

Reminds me of customers that rent 22" rims for their Malibu but don't want to fix their broken AC.
 
I already have the adjustable carbon fiber spoiler and a fiberglass hood I was able to find cheap. Those full on body kits are more than I paid for the car. Maybe i will find a good deal on them, and the cheap ones can come off then.


I have been looking at coilovers for the suspension, may get a low end kit

Can you post a picture of your Mustang?
 
I think you have enough going on in the aerodynamics department and looks like a fair amount in modifications and accessories. Personally speaking I would not put any more money into the car other than gas and maintenance. Daily drivers and entry level sports car have no need for any more aerodynamic improvements under normal or spirited driving.

If you're going to run a splitter, the rods need to attach to the car, not the bumper cover. Lots of info you be found reading on http://www.corner-carvers.com/forums/
You can try to register, but years ago they'd only approve new members in batches a few times per year. They also ban members for posting basic threads that could've been answered with a search.

Coilovers, talk to the crew at Maximum Motorsports. I had their revalved Bilstein Sport coilovers on my foxbody, incredible hardware. I suggest you peruse their site, even send em an email with questions. Great products backed by great customer service. I had their entire catalog, save for the adjustable rear sway bar, on my fox. The parts are still on the car 15yrs & well over 250k miles later. You'll get more info from reading on the MM site or in 1 email from them than you will from the jokers on here.

Anything that adds down force will also add drag. So you will not be faster in a straight line. Probably slower. And anything that adds down force will only do so at a minimum speed. Race cars make a **** ton of down force. But they only make that high down force number at their top speeds. At lower speeds they make much less or even none at all. Just saying
